Abstract

The paintings of the Egyptian artist "Khaled Nubi" evoke the memories of the ancient Egyptian houses, as an existential state that reflects the artist's need to recall these memories.

In his paintings, the artist tries to recall the gadgets and belongings of the ancient Egyptian houses as an attempt to heal the scattering and fragmentation within the self, and to evoke the values of intimacy and inclusion and to keep pace with the corners of the soul, so these houses were the objective equivalent of the Egyptian self and identity, meaning that bringing these houses with all of their belongings and color gradations is a tireless attempt to banish alienation, recover oneself, and revive one’s identity.
